Blog Post 2: Web 2.0 Video

I actually liked the above clip. It starts with a hand writing down stuff about text being linear. As the music starts going text from a computer appears. They start joining and moving around words to create new sentences. It starts going in more detail about how to use “html” and accessing the internet. It showed how to create a blog just like ours.
So, this is why I liked the clip. The melody was an excellent effect to include to it. The way they interpreted the hand at the beginning was very interesting as well. From the video clip, I think the computer is a fascinating fixation and the purpose of the clip is that technology is the new future.Everyone around the world uses a computer and the internet. 73.9% of people in North America use the internet. The clip is saying that we are the web, meaning that the people that go onto the internet and share their ideas are the people who create it. We are the people teaching the machine to do what it does.
The audience of the clip is the people who run across it and watch it. These people stop and look at it because of the title. “The machine is us/ing us.” He called it that because, that’s the purpose statement he is trying to get across to people. He listened to the audience’s feedback and knew he had a good video. His media or medium is an online video. That works great with what is in his clip because it deals with computers and it is on a computer.
The way he arranged the clip is what I think was the most important part of the video. The arrangements are the basic building blocks of writing. They need meet the needs, expectations, hopes, and desires of the audience. If he would have put the text first then the hand and written work, it would have baffled the viewers.

Blog Post 1: Quotation Writing

"Anybody can make history. Only a great man can write it." -Oscar Wilde

This is a good quote for people like me who don’t like to write or think what they write is stupid. To me it is saying any person knows how to do amazing things, but it is merely the people who use their tools and resources that become the famous, well-known, or great man. You have to actually put forth the time and effort to do great things.
A statement of purpose is to help writers find a reason to communicate, learn from what you are doing, and find a purpose that is worth the audience’s time and attention. The reason to converse about this quote is to tell readers or the audience that they can do it if they put their mentality and feelings to it. If you were writing things nothing about this quote, you probably would not keep the audience time or attention.
When thinking about what the audience wants you must respect them, listen carefully to what other people have to say about your piece, and take seriously that what you write effects everyone that observes or listens to it. In this sense of writing I would say to the audience what my quote is and then what it means to me. Questions may come up in relation to why I believe it that way, so I need a thorough explanation.
The context of your writing for the most part is the most important. You want to make sure the context of your communication has motivation in it. For example, in my quote it is about trying to develop into a great writer by using your skills and expressing yourself. For my quote the communication will be on my blog on the internet. Many people will observe what I have wrote about the quote and form their own opinions. I will always take critizim seriously whenever I write.
